Mulder Design Group specializes in low maintenance designs. We have a well-developed process which considers all the elements needed to produce a plan to meet your requirements.  Here is how we do it:

Understand Your Needs

• People / Pets

• Favorite uses (entertaining, relaxing, games, bonfires, etc.)

• Style (casual, formal, etc.)

• Budget

• Timing (all at once or phases)

• Favorite Chores / Most Hated Chores

Analyze the Site

• Character of the home

• Orientation (sun/shade, views, screening needs)

• Drainage patterns and slope

• Utilities

• Problem areas

• Existing landscape elements

Develop the Plan

• Design an overall scheme and organization for the property

• Determine if grading is required

• Place hardscape elements (patios, decks, retaining walls, driveways, fences, etc.)

• Resolve problem areas

• Determine what existing elements can be reused

• Select beautiful, low maintenance plant material

• Prepare quote, plant pictures and hardscape visuals

Finalize the Plan

• Initial review with you and your family

• Discuss alternatives

• Decide if any changes are required

• Confirm that the design meets your needs and that you love it

• Advise on construction
